PSD's Plumb: We are hailing the conclusion of the UNPR-PRM cooperation protocol

Deputy Chair of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Rovana Plumb has hailed the National Union for Romania's Progress (UNPR) having concluded a cooperation protocol for the November 16 presidential runoff election with the Greater Romania Party (PRM), saying that Victor Ponta, the candidate of an alliance of PSD, UNPR and the Conservative Party (PC), says he is honoured to get the vote of any voter who cast a ballot for any of his first round rivals, save for the votes for the representatives of the Hungarian extremists.

'We are hailing the conclusion of the cooperation protocol. As a matter of fact, Mr Victor Ponta has already said he is honoured to receive the vote of all Romanians who preferred his rivals in the first round, with the exception, of course, of those who represent the Hungarian extremists, who, through the voice of Zsolt Szilagyi, have already said they are voting for Mr Klaus Iohannis. Mr Victor Ponta wants the support of the voters of his other rivals, with the exception of that of the extremist Hungarian party,' Plumb told a press conference at the PSD headquarters.
