ACL's (Christian Liberal Alliance) endorsee in this week's presidential elections, Klaus Iohannis, on Wednesday evening said in the face to face debate at B1 TV private television channel with the candidate backed by the PSD-UNPR-PC (Social Democratic Party - National Union for Romania's Progress- Conservative Party) alliance, incumbent Prime Minister Victor Ponta, that he didn't believe in a scenario with himself head of state and Victor Ponta prime minister, since the latter's "political journey will come to an end after the election of November 16."

"I don't believe such a scenario could be possible, in which I am the president and Victor Ponta prime minister. The way I see it, Mr Ponta's political career ends in November 2014. Since he is going to lose the elections, his own party will send him home," said the Liberal.

He also added that, in the event he becomes president, he won't conclude any "political bargain" with the head of the Romanian Government and, regardless of whom be the next head of Government, I am prepared to have a "correct institutional" with him/her.

"I will have a correct institutional collaboration, as the law in force says it should be, without the need of all kinds of political bargains, either if it is called cohabitation pact or institutional collaboration. I will collaborate at institutional level with whoever the next prime minister may be," said Iohannis. AGERPRES
