Vujovic: Serbia close to deal with IMF
BELGRADE - Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic said on Thursday that a draft budget for the next year will be put forward to the Serbian parliament by December 1, and that on November 20 he will make public the result of the talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which he expects to be successful.
The 2015 budget will be stricter than the 2014 budget review, Vujovic said at 10th economic conference of Raiffeisen Bank, adding that it would be sent to the parliament by December 1, so that MPs would have enough time to discuss it.
He voiced the expectation that the talks with the IMF would be successful, and that he would announce the results of the negotiations on November 20, when the IMF delegation is to wrap up his visit to the Serbian capital.
As for the IMF, Vujovic said before the results are made public, there is another round of talks, together with the National Bank of Serbia.
