Voter turnout as of 13:00hrs, EET: 27.22 percent
Voter turnout nationwide in Sunday's presidential runoff election as of 13:00hrs, EET, was 27.22 percent, according to data released by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC).
In the urban areas, turnout was 27.58 percent, while turnout in the countryside was 26.72 percent and in Bucharest City 27.48 percent.
Higher-than-the-average turnouts were reported in the counties of Ilfov (32.17 percent), Olt (31.67 percent), Teleorman (31.10 percent), Constanta (30.99 percent), Dambovita (30.83 percent).
Lower-than-the-average turnouts were reported in the counties of Harghita (18.43 percent), Covasna (19.01 percent), Satu Mare (21.49 percent), Mures (22.91 percent), Maramures (22.94 percent).
Turnout in Bucharest City was 27.48 percent overall: District 1 — 31.11 percent, District 2 — 28.12 percent, District 3 — 24.86 percent, District 4 — 28.07 percent, District 5 — 24.75 percent, District 6 — 29.33 percent.
The average voter turnout is computed using data from 18,553 polling stations out of 18,553 opened in Romania.
The total number of voters who went to the polls as of 13:00hrs, EET, was 4,975,564, of which 4,448,888 were registered with the permanent voter rolls, 486,564 with additional lists and 40,112 have cast their vote in the mobile ballot box.

As of the same hour in the November 2 first round of the presidential election, the voter turnout was 20.78 percent.
As of the same hour in the 2009 presidential runoff, 24.01 percent of the voters had cast ballots.AGERPRES
