Romania reports 39 COVID deaths over past 24 hours, death toll hits 34,871
As many as 39 deaths in SARS-CoV-2 patients have been reported in the last 24 hours, to which another 40 add, occurred prior to the reporting period, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informs today.
Most new COVID-19 cases reported by Bucharest City, counties of Cluj, Ilfov
Most of the newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in Romania since the previous reporting were recorded in Bucharest City - 164 and the counties of Cluj - 82, Ilfov - 71 and Timis - 62, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official novel coronavirus communication task force, reported on Sunday. The fewest new cases were recorded in the counties of Brasov - 0, Braila - 3 and Tulcea - 5.
Eleven COVID-19 deaths in Romania in last 24 hours
Another eleven Romanians infected with SARS-CoV-2 are reported dead in the last 24 hours, according to data released on Sunday by the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official novel coronavirus communication task force. No previously unaccounted deaths were reported.

63-year-old man, first West Nile virus death this season
Four local cases of West Nile virus infection in humans have been registered between June 7 - September 2, and one of the infected persons has died, the National Center for the Surveillance and Control of Communicable Diseases of the National Public Health Institute informs. The West Nile fatality is a 63-year-old man from Dolj County.

Unemployment in Bucharest City levelled out at 1.2% in July, 2021, with 14,745 unemployed registered with the Bucharest Employment Agency, of whom 7,895 women, according to a press statement released on Monday. Out of the total of 14,745 registered unemployed, 3,557 were drawing unemployment benefits, and 11,188 were not.

Day of Romanian Aviation and Air Force military ceremony in Bucharest
A military ceremony will be held today, July 20, the Day of Romanian Aviation and Air Force, at the Monument of the Air Heroes located in the Aviatorilor Square in Bucharest City. The number of registrations of individuals and legal entities doing business in Romania decreased in the first 5 months of 2021 by 77.84pct from the same period of 2019, to 67,142, of which 45,185 were limited liabilities, according to data centralised by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC), checked by AGERPRES.
