According to data provided on Monday, November 17, 2014, by the Central Electoral Bureau, after the centralization of data from 18,673 polling stations (until 10:20 EET), representing 99.07 percent of all polling stations, the candidate of the Christian Liberal Alliance (ACL), Klaus Iohannis, has garnered 54.50 percent of the votes in the second round of the presidential elections that took place on November 16, while the representative of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) - the National Union for Romania's Progress (UNPR) - the Conservative Party (PC) alliance, Victor Ponta, got 45.49 percent of the votes.

In the first round of the presidential elections, held on November 2, 2014, the ACL candidate, Klaus Iohannis, garnered 30.37 percent of votes (2,881,406 votes), while his main counter-candidate, Victor Ponta (PSD-UNPR-PC) garnered 40.44 percent (3,836,093 votes). At a national level 9,723,232 voters cast their ballots, 53.17 percent of the total number of voters registered in the permanent electoral lists.
