Investments lower by 16.9 percent in 2013
BELGRADE - Investments in Serbia in 2013 were lower by 16.9 percent relative to the previous year, the results of the annual survey 'Investments in Basic Funds' show as reported by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.
At the same time, investments in new basic funds recorded a drop by 17.6 percent in 2013.
Viewed across different regions, 49.9 percent of investments were realised in the Belgrade region, 26.6 percent were made in Vojvodina, 15.7 percent were made in Sumadija and western Serbia and 7.8 percent of investments were realised in the region of southern and eastern Serbia.
Viewed according to area of operation, the greatest stake in the realised basic fund investments on the national level were realised in the processing industry (30.2 percent), information and communications (13.5 percent), retail sale and wholesale and vehicle repairs (9.6 percent), transport and storage (7.1 percent) and gas, steam and electricity supply (6.4 percent).
