Ivanic, Vukicevic discuss common priorities for BiH, Serbia
SARAJEVO - Political stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is an important precondition for general political stability in the region, the Chairman of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Mladen Ivanic and Serbian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Stanimir Vukicevic said in Sarajevo on Wednesday.
In a meeting, Ivanic and Vukicevic identified the common priorities that the two sides need to work on in the coming period, which primarily relate to boosting regional cooperation, development of infrastructure and mutual support on the path towards European integration.
They also noted the need to initiate specific activities related to implementing existing bilateral agreements, such as the memorandum on joint presence on third-country markets, which should be implemented through cooperation between business associations in the two countries.
They also discussed the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the process of constituting authorities at all levels, which is underway, the Fena agency reported.
Vukicevic congratulated Ivanic on his election as the Serb member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency, wishing him success in his new position.
The two officials expressed hope that the successful cooperation will also continue in the coming period.
