Retail sale in Serbia increases in October

BELGRADE - Retail sale recorded an increase in Serbia in October on both the monthly and annual level, the preliminary data by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia show.

Retail sale was higher with current prices by 2.6 percent, and the retail sale for goods with fixed prices increased by 1.5 percent in October relative to the same month in 2013. The increase in retail sale of goods with current prices totalled 6 percent compared to September and the retail sale of goods with fixed prices increased by 6.2 percent compared to the previous month, states the release issued by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

According to the release, retail sale of goods in the period from January to October 2014 increased for goods with current prices by 4 percent, while the retail sale of goods with fixed prices increased by 2.6 percent compared to the same period in 2013.
