Turkish police detain suspect in murder of Serb

BELGRADE -- K. A., a Turkish national, has been detained by the Turikish police on suspicion that he stabbed to death visiting Serbian basketball fan Marko Ivković.

Serbian Interior Minister Nebojša Stefanović told Tanjug on Friday that he learned this from Turkish Ambassador in Belgrade Mehmet Bozay.

Ivković, a 25-year-old, was stabbed to death outside Istanbul's Abdi Ipekci Arena before the Euroleague basketball match between Red Star Belgrade and Galatasaray on November 21.

Earlier on, the Turkish police said that seven people had been arrested as part of the investigation.
