Vucic, Dodik: EP resolution not contributing to cooperation

BELGRADE - The latest resolution adopted by the European Parliament (EP) does not contribute to improvement of cooperation among countries and nations of the Western Balkans in any way, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik stated on Satruday.

According to a release issued by the Serbian government's press service, Vucic and Dodik exchanged views on the political and economic situation in the region during their meeting in Belgrade, and agreed that peace, political tolerance and full stability are the conditions for progress of the Republic of Serbia and RS.

During the talks, Vucic and Dodik agreed that the Republic of Serbia and RS need to additionally improve their economic cooperation in keeping with the Law on special and parallel relations, states the release.

On Thursday, EP adopted a resolution on leader of the Serbian Radical Party Vojislav Seselj in which it called on the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY) to re-examine the decision on his release. The resolution also calls on Serbian authorities to distance themselves from Seselj's statements.
