Iohannis: Today I have tendered my Sibiu mayor's seat

Romanian President-elect Klaus Iohannis announced at news conference on Tuesday he had tendered his seat of mayor of the central Sibiu city.

"Today I have tendered my Sibiu mayor's seat. It was a necessary thing", Iohannis said.

He took the occasion to thank the Sibiu residents who elected him mayor.
Iohannis was elected President of Romania in the second round of voting on November 16, polling 54.50 percent of the vote.AGERPRES
