President Traian Basescu said Thursday evening that the Romanian state has not received 200 million dollars from Oil Company Rompetrol debt up until now and stressed Prime Minister Victor Ponta must take responsibility for this case.

The incumbent Romanian head of state underscored that, given that the 2015 budget was being drawn up he was 'very interested' to find out if, following Ponta's agreement that the Romanian state should receive only 200 million dollars from Rompetrol out of the company's 580 million dollars debt, 'anything happened, the more so since it had been decided to set up a one billion euro investments fund, 80 percent of which should be the contribution of the Kazakhs' who own the Romanian oil company.

'Not only that a one billion euro investment fund has not been set up, but not even 200 million dollars has been collected by the moment I am making this statement. And Prime Minister Victor Ponta must take all responsibility in this case, since I had warned him before he did this', Basescu said.AGERPRES
