Brussels agreement should be followed
BELGRADE - Head of the Serbian government office for Kosovo Marko Djuric sid on Saturday the Brussels agreement should be followed, as one of the conditions of the coalition agreement the Kosovo government was founded on.
He also stated that inflammatory rhetoric should be avoided, in reaction to Kosovo's Minister for Dialogue with Belgrade Edita Tahiri's statement concerning the future association of Serb municipalities.
"Belgrade encourages pluralism of opinion among the province's officials that entails that some of the ministers in the Serbian southern province think like Tahiri, while some others have a completely different opinion and I call for efforts to avoid inflammatory rhetoric," Djuric said in a statement for the media.
Djuric reacted to Tahiri's statement that the association of Serb municipalities would not have executive authority, and that Kosovo's Minister for Zommunities and Return Aleksandar Jablanovic, who had stated the opposite, was an illusionist.
The illusions of individuals, especially of officials who think they our outside of Kosovo's law and the Brussels agreement are only verbally possible, but the legal basis and the agreement from April 19 state clearly that the association of Serb municipalities should be formed based on Kosovo's existing laws, Tahiri said.
