Schools in eastern Attica to close due to cold snap

Deputy eastern Attica governor Petros Philippou on Wednesday announced that junior and high schools in certain parts of the region were to remain closed due to cold weather and icy conditions.

Schools in the areas of Thrakomakedones, Varibobi, Olympic Village (Acharnes Municipality) Dionysos, Aghios Stefanos, Drosia, Anoixi, Stamata, Rodopoli, Avlonas, Markopoulo, Kapandriti and Kalamos, were among those set to close until weather conditions improved.
