Fire in Stamata near homes – Amigdaleza, Galini & Rodopoli are being evacuated (videos-photos)
A fire broke out shortly after 4 PM on Sunday (June 30) in Stamata, Dionysos, in a forested area.
The fire is near homes, and aerial units, ground forces, and earth-moving machines have rushed to the scene, with strong winds complicating the firefighting efforts.

Robbers steal 29,000 euros and Porsche from lawyer’s house
Robbers broke into the house of a lawyer in the town of Drosia, east Attica, on Tuesday and stole thousands of euros, valuables and a luxury car parked outside.
The unknown suspects removed the iron bars from the window leading to the bedroom, breached the aluminum window and then entered the interior of the duplex located on Dervenakion Street.
Former PASOK minister dies
The body of former deputy interior minister Giorgos Katsibardis was recovered from a sea area near Limanakia in Drosia, northeast of Athens.
According to reports, the body of the 79-year-old, who was among the founders of PASOK, was found at sea on Thursday morning.

Torrential rain floods homes in northern Athens
The Athens fire department said it received 120 emergency calls from flooded homes on Tuesday after heavy rain in northern Attica, which was particularly intense in the regions of Dionysos, Drosia, Stamata and Aghios Stefanos.
Torrential rain also hit other parts of the country, causing landslides and floods on the central Aegean island of Skopelos.
