Prospects for closer agricultural cooperation with Hungary

BUDAPEST - Agriculture is an industry that offers real prospects for stepping up the cooperation between Serbia and Hungary, Serbian Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Snezana Bogosavljevic Boskovic said in Budapest.

Bogosavljevic Boskovic, who is on a two-day visit to Hungary at the invitation of Hungarian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Sandor Fazekas, underscored on Monday upon her arrival in Budapest that the two countries are bound by good-neighborly relations and good cooperation in all fields.

With her Hungarian counterpart, the Serbian minister will discuss, among other things, Hungary's experiences in the EU integration process, primarily the use of IPA funds for agriculture.

"The talks will also deal with legal arrangements for certain sensitive issues in the Agricultural Land Law, laws governing food safety. We will also address possible models of cooperation between farmers and other topics," the ministry quoted Bogosavljevic Boskovic as saying.
