Serbian caucus in US Congress supports Serbia's reforms

BELGRADE - A Serbian parliament delegation led by Deputy Parliament Speaker Vladimir Marinkovic has met in Washington with US congressmen Robert Dold and Robert Aderholt, who said that the Serbian caucus in the Congress supported Serbia's economic reforms and EU integration.

Dold stated that he supported strongly the reforms by the Serbian government, stressing that he would invite US companies to invest as much as they could in Serbia because it was continuously working to improve the business environment.

Aderholt underscored that it was very important for Serbia to establish some type of a strategic partnership with the US, and he called on the Serbian government and parliament to work on strengthening those relations, but also asked for good will from the US side in order to pass good economic practices on to Serbia.

The Serbian delegation, which consisted of Marinkovic, Zoran Babic and Aleksandar Jugovic, met also with Senate officials in charge of international relations and the topic was how to improve the political relations between the two countries.

The delegation will attend the 63rd National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, which will be hosted by US President Barack Obama and members of the Congress.
