IMF to decide on arrangement with Serbia on February 23
BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Dusan Vujovic said on Friday that the Board of Executive Directors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would decide on the new precautionary arrangement with Serbia in Washington on February 23.
Vujovic said that the Serbian government adopted on Thursday the letter of intent which should be signed on Friday by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Jorgovanka Tabakovic and the finance minister, and the document would then be forwarded to the IMF.
Addressing reporters in the Serbian government, Vujovic said that the letter of intent contains the government's plan on monetary and fiscal policy, the plans for restructuring in public enterprises and the implementation of fiscal strategy as was agreed during the November visit of the IMF mission to Belgrade.
