Dacic, Mihajlovic to attend ministerial meeting in Pristina

BELGRADE - The meeting of ministers from Western Balkan countries which will be organised in Pristina on March 25 will be attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic and Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic, the Serbian Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure posted on its website.

During the meeting, the ministers will discuss establishment of infrastructural ties between the countries in the region and Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic will take part in the meeting as the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure.

On February 6, Mihajlovic conferred with Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia Michael Davenport on projects of regional importance and informed him about the plan of activities of the joint Serbian-Albanian working group which will be in charge of major infrastructure projects.

The list of first projects to be tackled includes the Nis-Tirana highway via Pristina, construction of Corridor 11 from Belgrade to Montenegro and its connection to the Adriatic-Ionian motorway and the reconstruction of the Belgrade-Bar railway and its connection to the ports on the Albanian coast.

Mihajlovic and Davenport discussed the construction of the Zezelj bridge and agreed that its completion bears considerable importance for citizens of Vojvodina and Novi Sad, which is why it is important for the works to be conducted efficiently and without delay.
