Driver murdered in right of way row - reports

BELGRADE -- A 35-year-old man has bled to death in a street in Belgrade after he was assaulted with a machete, the local media are reporting.

The daily Blic writes that the body of the victim, S.K., was found with injuries to the head and the right groin. The public broadcaster RTS is unofficially reporting that he was stabbed with a machete by "a passerby."

The Interior Ministry (MUP) said the body was found in the Belgrade suburb of Batajnica, and that the police are investigating the scene and working to solve the case.

Unofficially, the victim was driving his car out of a parking lot when a pedestrian appeared in front of him. They had a row over the right of way, after which the pedestrian "pulled out a machete and attacked the driver."

The attacker stabbed the victim in the face and in the groin, causing him to bleed to death. The attacker remains unidentified at this time.
