Jankovic withdraws from Doha tournament

BELGRADE - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic did not make it to the quarterfinal of the WTA tournament in Doha after she withdrew with an injury allowing Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic to move on.

Jankovic could not carry on with the match due to a groin pull, so she retired at the point when Kvitova held the lead 6-3, 2-1.

Her next opponent will be the winner of the match between Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic and Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain.
