Retired Croatian general and formerly convicted war criminal, Branimir Glavas is in his apartment with members of his right-wing political party Croatian Democratic Alliance of Slavonia and Baranja, HDSSB. Since the Croatian supreme court announced on Thursday that Glavas has to go to custody prison until his final verdict is passed, the police is expected to come for him at his home.

Cyclone Rea has brought heavy rains and snow, accompanied with hurricane winds to Croatia, while the highest red alarm was announced by the Meteoalarm service in the region of Dalmatia, on the Adriatic coast.  Hurricane north-eastern winds, blowing up to 130 kilometres per hour, broke electric poles and trees in regions of Zadar and Makarska towns on the Dalmatian coast.

After his arrest and release for corruption charges, Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic was calculating about triggering mayor elections in Zagreb. Political analysts agree that although his deputy, Sandra Svaljek, who is running Zagreb for the last 4 and half months, grew stronger in the eyes of voters, Bandic is still a big favourite for winning potential elections.
