Mauritius’ unique “Underwater Waterfall”
Mauritius is a tiny island in the Indian Ocean, a few nautical miles east of Madagascar. It is a well-known tropical paradise which attracts many an adventurous holiday-maker.
Aerial photos depict the entirety of the island which was originally discovered by Arabs, including one small, but beautiful detail: An underwater formation which looks like a waterfall! However, this is but a big optical illusion, as the shapes of the phenomenon are due to the sand and mud in the bottom of the sea which slowly moves and stirs with the currents.
