"It is an open procedure, each prosecutor stands a chance. The registrations conclude on March 16. (...) It is a procedure strictly based on the legislation in force. (...) Since all prosecutors have the opportunity to register, I believe it is very transparent. All prosecutors observing the law are invited to register, there is no one previously designated. This is my appeal, that all those who believe they have the experience, maturity and integrity to be able to run such a structure register. The criteria are strictly provided by law," Cazanciuc said, before presentation of the DIICOT activity in 2014.

The presentation of the activity report of the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) is attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Gabriel Oprea, Romanian Intelligence Service head Eduard Hellvig, Prosecutor General Tiberiu Nitu, Deputy Prosecutor-in-chief of the National Anti-corruption Directorate Marius Iacob and Superior Council of Magistrates members.

The report meeting is carried out without access for the press, the statements going to be made around 14,30 hours. AGERPRES
