May 8 becomes the Day of Equal Opportunities between women and men

President Klaus Iohannis has promulgated on Friday several laws, among which the one stipulating the Day of Equal Opportunities between women and men, to be on May 8.

The law, finalised by the Romanian Parliament in February, aims at regulating the declaration of the Day of May 8 as the Day of Equal Opportunities between women and men, with a focus on the promotion of equality of chances between genders as part of the social policy. AGERPRES
