Vucic, Kamsvag discuss Serbia-Norway cooperation
BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic conferred with Norwegian Ambassador Nils Ragnar Kamsvag concerning the possibilities for increasing the scope of economic cooperation between Serbia and Norway, especially in the energy sector.
Prime Minister Vucic called on Norwegian companies to increase their presence on the Serbian market, and Kamsvag underscored that expert qualifications and experience of Serbian workers would be a major benefit for Norwegian companies interested in investing in Serbia.
Vucic informed the Norwegian ambassador about the economic situation in Serbia and the reform measures aimed at recovery of the Serbian economy.
In this context, he underscored the need for increased capital investments and incitement of entrepreneurial spirit in Serbia.
The Norwegian ambassador congratulated the Serbian government on the arrangement achieved with the IMF.
The arrangement with the IMF is a confirmation that the government is working hard and it also constitutes a good starting position for progress of the Serbian economy, the ambassador said.
He commended the manner in which the Serbian government organised the Office for Reconstruction and Flood Relief and thus most efficiently used the donations delivered after the catastrophic floods, states the release issued by the Serbian government Office for cooperation with the media.
Vucic accepted the invitation of the Norwegian government to take part in the Oslo Forum in June which traditionally gathers statesmen and experts on an annual basis with a view to preventing conflicts throughout the world.
