White House is currently in search for best candidate to fill the position of Ambassador to Romania

The White House is currently vetting candidates for the best pick to fill the position of United States of America Ambassador in Bucharest, the U.S. Embassy said on Friday asked by AGERPRES.

The Embassy also said it is currently waiting for an official answer from the White House.

Mark Gitenstein, who ended his term in office in December 2012, was the last Ambassador of the United States to Romania, with charges d'affaires Duane Butcher and Dean Thompson having fulfilled the responsibilities related to the Embassy affairs ever since then. AGERPRES
