Seselj: Relations with Croatia were never good
BELGRADE - Serbian Radical Party (SRS) leader Vojislav Seselj denied on Thursday that his behaviour could harm Serbia and its people, stressing that his actions had only revealed the true nature of the relations between Serbia and Croatia.
The relations between Serbia and Croatia have never been good, honest or friendly and have never been based on trust, Seselj, whose party has no seats in the parliament, told a news conference.
He claims that everything he does is in the interest of the Serbian people, and that his greatest wish is for his behaviour to cause the EU to terminate its accession talks with Serbia.
"My goal is to never allow Serbia to become a member of the EU. There is nothing for us there. All of our enemies are concentrated there. It would definitely ruin us," he noted, adding that he would definitely not return to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia voluntarily and would resist passively a potential arrest.
