Greece and Serbia discuss security and defense in Belgrade meeting
Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias met with his Serbian counterpart Bratislav Gacic in Belgrade Tuesday to discuss regional security and bilateral defense relations.
Following their meeting, Dendias emphasized the strategic importance of the defense ties between the two countries, which were strengthened by a 2019 agreement. "We discussed how to reinforce these relations and organize more joint exercises in the future," he said.
Dendias thanked Serbia for its assistance during Greece's wildfires in August and for recent support during fires in the northern region of Kavala. He expressed a desire to connect the defense industries of both countries.
