Dacic: We will not agree to policy of mobile targets
BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic stated on Tuesday that Serbia does not intend to change its stand concerning non-recognition of Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) and will not accept continuous setting of new conditions for EU accession.
In an interview for Russian Serbian-language portal Sputnik, Dacic recalled that Serbia has made its stand clear and was clearly informed that there are no new conditions.
Perhaps somebody would like this to happen, Dacic said and recalled that a majority of EU members have recognised an independent Kosovo.
Serbia is ready for a dialogue on the normalisation of relations with Pristina but it will not accept a policy of mobile targets and constant setting of new conditions or ultimatums, he underscored.
The implementation of the Brussels agreement suits Serbia, Dacic said and noted that Pristina is constantly blocking the agreed adoption of the Statute and the constitution of the Community of Serb municipalities because it wants to have as few powers as possible.
