Serbian-Chinese Culture Week on April 13-19

BELGRADE - The Serbian-Chinese Culture Week will be held in Belgrade from April 13 to 19.

The opening day will be marked by two art exhibitions - photographs of the Spring Festival in China, and drawings by Tomislav Petrovic representing professions and crafts in China and Serbia.

A Chinese tea ceremony will be held on the first evening of the event at the Belgrade Confucius Institute, and it will be followed by the performances of Mirko Jorgovic, pianist, Mirjana Benegisic, soloist at the Opera of the National Theater in Belgrade, and the choir of the Serbian folklore ensemble "Abrasevic".

The events will also include a concert by Chinese pianist Tianhong Yang, a marathon of Chinese feature films, a presentation of traditional qigong exercises by the Qigong Association of Serbia, and a lecture on Chinese philosophy.

The Serbian-Chinese Culture Week is held under the auspices of the Embassy of China.

Admission is free to all events at the House of King Peter I and the Savski Venac cultural center.
