Rumi commemorated on 751st anniversary of Şeb-i Arus
Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) hosted the Şeb-i Arus, or "Wedding Night" ceremony on Dec. 10, commemorating the 751st anniversary of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi's passing.

Born into a lineage of whirling dervishes, Mohamed Adel, 20, takes great pride in the uniquely Egyptian interpretation of the centuries-old ritual known colloquially as "tanoura," or skirt in Arabic.
