UNICEF, Novak Djokovic Foundation back Belgrade Marathon

BELGRADE - The Belgrade Marathon and UNICEF will continue their successful partnership for this year's marathon run, which will be held on April 18 under the slogan "Run, Do Good", the organizers announced.

Marathon races are an opportunity to spread awareness about important causes, to show solidarity and help others, above all children, Belgrade Marathon Director Dejan Nikolic told a press conference at the Belgrade City Assembly on Tuesday.

The Children's Marathon will be held on Saturday, April 11, a week before the main event.

This year's kids' race is also supported by the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which joined the campaign to raise awareness of the significance of preschool education.

UNICEF and our strategic partner Novak Djokovic Foundation are working together on projects "Kindergartens without Borders" and "Schools of Life", and our aim is to increase the number of children included in preschool education in Serbia and to improve the quality of this education, particularly for the most vulnerable children, said Director of UNICEF Serbia Michel Saint-Lot.
