Two Bulgarian Nationals Evacuated by Russian Plane from Yemen
There were two Bulgarians among the foreign nationals evacuated from war-torn Yemen by a Russian plane last night, the foreign ministry in Sofia said late on Monday .
The nationality of the Bulgarian citizens was confirmed following completion of data processing of the evacuees by the crisis centre established by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The two Bulgarian nationals are feeling well and have been transferred directly to Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport on their request, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Their names were not disclosed.
According to a TASS report published earlier on Monday, about 150 nationals of Russia and other countries including Bulgaria have left strife-hit Yemen on board a second Russian plane on Sunday. A Russian plane also carrying some 150 evacuees from Yemen landed at Chkalovskiy Airport earlier on Sunday.
