Eurasian Council delays decision on Fiat imports
MOSCOW -- The Eurasian Economic Commission will consider customs duty free import of Fiat 500L cars produced in Serbia in late April or Early May.
That does not mean that a decision will be made "on the same day," reports said on Wednesday.
The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission was to consider this issue today, but head of the press service Valery Petrov told Sputnik Serbia that a delay had occured for technical reasons.
The council will consider a report that is being prepared by the Russian Federation's Ministry of Industry and Trade.
"At the same time, the consideration of the report does not mean that a decision will be made the same day, it could be preliminary," Petrov said.
Earlier this month, reports suggested that "Russia would allow" duty-free import of Fiat's cars made in Kragujevac, central Serbia.
