Kover, Micin on further promotion of relations
BELGRADE - The relations between Serbia and Hungary are at the top level and there is a mutual interest in their further promotion, it was concluded at Thursday's meeting between Hungarian Parliament Speaker Laszlo Kover and members of the Serbian parliament's group of friendship with Hungary.
Kover and Zarko Micin, head of the parliamentary group of friendship with Hungary, pointed to the importance of the two countries' reconciliation, which started in 2013, with the presidents and prime ministers playing a major role in the process, reads a statement issued by the Serbian parliament.
Kover, who is staying on an official visit to Serbia, agreed with Micin that the two countries' MPs have a particularly important role in bringing the two peoples together.
The officials underlined that the inter-parliamentary cooperation can be additionally promoted through meetings of parliamentary groups of friendship and cooperation between parliamentary committees.
The meeting also touched on the possibilities of the Serbian-Hungarian cooperation in the fields of economy, transport and agriculture.
