EU Funds Minister Marius Nica on his first working visit to Brussels
Minister for European Funds Marius Nica is paying on Monday his first working visit to Brussels, in the context of the priorities set for the next period, the relevant Ministry informed in a release.

"It's about enhancing the dialogue with European Commission representatives for the approval of the operational programmes under negotiation with the European Commission ? the Operational Programme 'Large scale Infrastructure' 2014 ? 2020 managed by the Ministry for European Funds, but also about the Regional Operational Programme 2014 ? 2020, and the National Rural Development Programme 2014 ? 2020, which are managed by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration, and by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, respectively. At the same time, a highly important topic of discussion is speeding up the accreditation of the implementation system for the period 2014 ? 2020," the release said.
Also included on the agenda of the visit are talks on the implementation of the operational programmes financed by the European Commission over the period 2007 ? 2013, with focus on the necessary steps to expedite additional checks required by the European Commission for cost reimbursements for certain operational programmes, and on supporting alternative measures to boost the uptake of funds by promoting retrospective projects and by phasing the projects at risk of non-completion.
