Djuric: Regional stability Serbia's top interest
BELGRADE - Serbia is committed to reforms and a full normalisation of relations with Pristina so that there can be political, economic and security progress in Kosovo-Metohija, the head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric said on Wednesday.
Regional stability is Serbia's top interest, Djuric said during a meeting with a delegation of the Kingdom of Norway, headed by Oystein Bo, Secretary of State of the Norwegian Ministry of Defence.
Djuric briefed the guests on the progress in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and the current situation in Kosovo-Metohija.
KFOR's role and presence in the province serve the interest of peace and stability, Djuric underscored, adding that KFOR is a guarantee of the safety and security of the Serb community in the province.
The meeting was also attended by Norwegian Ambassador to Belgrade Nils Ragnar Kamsvag and Dragan Vladisavljevic, who heads the Office for Coordination Affairs in the process of negotiations with the interim self-government institutions in Pristina.
