Talks on memorandum on cooperation in fighting cyber crime

BELGRADE/SEOUL - State Secretary in the Serbian Ministry Interior Ministry (MUP) Aleksandar Nikolic and Commissioner General of the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) Kang Sin-myeong met in Seoul Thursday to discuss a memorandum of understanding that should enhance cooperation in fighting cyber crime.

According to a release from the Ministry of Interior, Kang said that the KNPA would soon send experts to conduct training for members of the MUP in Belgrade.

Korea has some of the best IT and telecommunications experts in the world and has achieved considerable results in the field internationally.

The two officials agreed that political relations between Serbia and Korea were good and friendly and it was now time to enhance cooperation in areas of joint interest, especially in the fight against terrorism, high-tech and other forms of organized crime.

This was the first meeting of high representatives of the police forces of the two countries, and its aim was enhancing cooperation in the field of internal affairs, the release said.
