"Countryside Vacations," starting from 175 lei per person, over May 3 - June 19

The National Association for Rural, Ecological and Cultural Tourism (ANTREC) is conducting the 25th edition of the "Countryside Vacations" programme, in the period May 3 - June 19, 2015, and the prices start from 175 lei per person for five nights in 2 daisy guest houses.

All tourist categories can benefit from the programme, being able to discover rural life, the traditions of the respective places, the hospitality specific to this kind of tourism and last, but not least, serve a traditional meal with foods specific to each area they choose, shows an ANTREC release remitted to AGERPRES on Thursday.

The recommended rates for the current edition of the "Countryside Vacations" programme are of 175 lei per person in the 2 daisy guest houses, 225 lei per person in 3 and 4 daisy guest houses and 290 lei per person in 5 daisy guest houses. The rate includes 5 nights of accommodation in a double room, respectively 6 days, the first night of accommodation being on Sunday. The stay will end on Friday. Each guest house participating in this programme will provide free breakfast.

"This year, the demand for rural tourism is certainly much higher on May 1 than it was in the Easter period. The Romanian tourists' preference for guest houses has two strong reasons. Firstly, increasingly more Romanians choose traditions, quiet and a special natural landscape. On the other hand, there are currently over 6,000 authorized guest houses, villas and hostels in nearly all regions of the country, being extremely accessible for tourists.
