CSCI poll: Results if elections were held next Sunday: new PNL - 42 pct; PSD-UNPR-PC - 39 pct
The new National Liberal Party (made up of the former PNL - the National Liberal Party and the former PDL - Democratic Liberal Party) would collect the most votes, if parliamentary elections were to be held in Romania next Sunday, says a poll conducted by the CSCI and sent to AGERPRES.

The new PNL would collect 42 per cent of the Romanians' votes, while the PSD-UNPR-PC Alliance (PSD ? Social Democratic Party; UNPR ? National Union for Romania's Progress; PC ? Conservative Party) would get 39 per cent and the Liberal Reformist Party ? PLR ? 5 per cent.
Also, 4 per cent of the respondents to the poll said they would choose the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR), 3 per cent would choose Monica Macovei's M10 Party and 3 per cent would vote for the United Romania Party (PRU). The People's Movement Party (PMP) and the People's Party ? Dan Diaconescu (PP-DD) would each score 1 per cent of the votes. 2 per cent of the respondents preferred other parties.
The poll was conducted nationwide over April 20-24 on a multistadial sample of 1,090 people and it was based on the CATI method. The maximum tolerated margin stood at 3 per cent, with a probabilistic level of 95 per cent. AGERPRES
