European poets, musicians to convene in Bucharest, Wed. through Sun.
Poets, musicians and representatives of some of Europe's most prestigious poetry houses will convene Wednesday through Sunday in Bucharest for the Bucharest International Poetry Fair, the National Trade Fair of Poetry Books and the Poetry and Jazz Marathon, organised by the National Museum of Romanian Literature.

"With more than 100 guest poets, nine directors of European poetry houses, renown Romanian and European jazz players, including Mircea Tiberian, Maria Raducanu, Krister Jonsson, Nadia Trohin and Ana-Cristina Leonte, unique recitals by Ioana Craciunescu and George Mihaita, the participation of musicians Ion Bogdan Stefanescu and Pedro Negrescu and also of representative contemporary Romanian poets that cover different literary generations and geographies, our line-up is possibly the most important in Romania in terms of poetry. I would like its schedule to become a reference in the European cultural landscape," Dan Mircea, organiser of the Bucharest International Poetry Festival and the Poetry and Jazz Marathon is quoted as saying in a press release of the National Museum of Romanian Literature.
This year, the festival will be unfolding in the following locations of Bucharest City: Sutu Place (the Bucharest City Museum), Carol I Central University Library, Open Art Bookshop, the Odeon Theatre House, the Ion Dacian Operetta House, Green Hours jazz-cafe, the Excelsior Theatre House and the Tudor Arghezi ? Martisor Memorial Museum.
Hosting the National Trade Fair of Poetry Books will be the Bucharest City Museum, where poetry, blues and jazz books, CDs and audiobooks as well niche magazines will be presented, sold and released for the event. No participation fee is levied on...
