The main opposition Republican People?s Party (CHP) leader Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu said May 22 nobody, including Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu, could say that the CHP?s latest proposed project is wrong, adding that Davuto?lu would have done the project if he had previously written about it, as Davuto?lu has claimed.

?No economist says the project is wrong. Davuto?lu has not said this either. We explained it in detail. They cannot understand it because they [the government] keep thinking of [the money in] their pocket,? said K?l?çdaro?lu, speaking at the rally in the Elmada? district of Ankara on May 22.

He also criticized Davuto?lu for saying that the project was originally Davuto?lu?s idea, asking, ?Why didn?t you carry it out if it was your project??

During his visit to the Black Sea province of Sinop on May 21, Davuto?lu said his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) was the one that had founded the central state and that the concepts used in the CHP?s project belonged to them.

?If K?l?çdaro?lu read the back cover of ?Strategic Depth,? the book I penned in 2001, he would have seen the concept ?central hub,?? he said.

?This is clearly academic plagiarizing. He is using the concept of Afro-Eurasia. This is what we said in our election agenda,? he added.
