Avram Iancu International Airport promotes project presenting landmarks of Cluj

Avram Iancu International Airport on Monday launched a project meant to promote the tourist and cultural landmarks of the County of Cluj.

"For all the people living in Cluj it is a special moment represented by the fact that this year Cluj is the European Youth Capital. We have also promoted it so far with our partner airports. Today we are launching the Fly&Share Cluj project, through which we mean to promote Cluj and share to all those who choose as departure and arrival point the Cluj International Airport the tourist and cultural landmarks in the area, but also the economic and business potential provided by the region. Moreover, the project is aimed at expanding and developing the route network of the airport by creating new international collaborations with the states that are going to be celebrated within the campaign," Cluj Airport Manager David Ciceo said on Monday on the occasion of the project launching.

The project will be carried out during several months and, among others, celebrations of the national days of several countries will be marked as part of it. On Monday, on the occasion of launching the project, the Danish Flag Day, celebrated on June 15, was marked.

The "Fly&Share Cluj" campaign will include elements for promoting Cluj on the airport, but also on the web pages of the airport of Cluj and its partners.

David Ciceo mentioned, among others, that the airport of Cluj is currently operating flights to 23 destinations of 11 countries and that the number of passengers is constantly increasing.

Cluj County Council President Mihai Seplecan, County Council Vice President Vakar Istvan and Vice Mayor Gheorghe Surubaru attended the project launching, among others. AGERPRES
