The Turkish prime minister?s wife, Sare Davuto?lu, has delivered the baby of a soldier killed in a July 23 attack by Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) jihadists on the Syrian border.

Sare Davuto?lu visited Seher Nane, wife of the fallen soldier, who was eight months pregnant, along with Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu and Chief of Staff Necdet Özel two weeks ago.

Sare Davuto?lu promised to attend the woman?s labor at the hospital.

Seher Nane?s husband, the non-commissioned military officer Mehmet Yalç?n Nane, was killed in an ISIL attack at the Da? Hudut military post located in the Elbeyli district of the Kilis province.

When the labor started late Aug. 11, Sare Davuto?lu flew to Gaziantep immediately to keep her promise. She went to the hospital as soon as her plane landed and helped to deliver the baby. The new mother told reporters that she will name her son Alaattin Yalç?n, a mixture her father?s name Alaattin and her husband?s of Yalç?n. Sare Davuto?lu visited the two in the morning and gave presents.

Commander of the 5th Armed Brigade Cemalettin Do?an also visited Seher Nane in the hospital. Seher Nane said she wished her husband could be present to witness the birth. ?He wanted to see his son very much.

We feel his absence. I hope my son will be a soldier like his father,? she said.

Speaking on Sare Davuto?lu?s visit, Seher Nane said, ?She delivered the baby herself. She took good care of us. I am thankful to her.?
