Greek election day highlights – Weird and funny moments! (pics + vids)
The election process kicked off at 7 p.m. on September 20, with most voting centers being eerily empty.
Highlights from election day:
* Pollsters were worried that people would prefer the beach over the voting booth. One man chose both:
* Centrist To Potami (River) leader Stavros Theodorakis headed to the 9th Primary School of Halepa. He was not given his own party’s ballot paper!

* Socialist PASOK leader Fofi Gennimata received a stained ballot.
* The voting center at Nea Smyrni received a locked ballot. A locksmith was called to get it open!
* Farmer Aristeidis Tsirikos rode to his voting center at Argolida high school riding a donkey, and he was joined by other family members… He wanted in this way to stage his own unusual protest.
* Thessaloniki Mayor Boutaris brought the polling booth down to the amusement of bystanders!
