Grandma becomes a bodybuilding champion

Debbie Allsopp, who has two grandchildren, has claimed prizes in eight bodybuilding competitions since beginning her muscle-building quest three years ago.

According to The Sun, the 48-year-old woman used to drink a dozen vodka Red Bulls and six tequilas.

“Once a month I’d go on a bender and be falling out of a nightclub drunk as a skunk,” Debbie said.

“I’d lost sight of myself. The more I was a mum, the less confidence I had. I was just another mum doing the school run and had no identity.”

But, then she got divorced and one day she John who suggested bodybuilding.

From that time, everything changed. She began training five times a week and saw effects on her body within a month.

After eight competitions, she finally won a string of medals, has qualified as a fitness trainer and has hundreds of bodybuilding friends on Facebook.
