Bulgarian Vasil Kolev Wins World Cocktail Championship

Vasil Kolev has scooped for the third time the big prize in the "Bartender's Choice" category, the most hardly contested at an international championship held in Bulgaria.

Kolev, who has grabbed a total of 10 national golden awards over the years, has been singled out among contenders from 11 other countries and has now become the first-ever person to win three world titles (the previous two were in 2011, Poland, and in 2012 in China).

What has brought him the gold now is a cocktail named "Rink Teardrops" (the recipe is to follow later).

The World Cocktail Championships, organized by the International Bartenders Association, is being held at Marinela (formerly Kempinski) Hotel near downtown Sofia.
