Two construction workers killed in roof collapse in Turkey's west

Two construction workers were killed on Oct. 14 when the roof of a hospital being constructed in the Marmara province of Bal?kesir collapsed.

A total of six construction workers became trapped under debris at around 2:30 p.m. as the roof of Bal?kesir University Faculty of Medicine additional building collapsed. Firefighters managed to rescue four workers from the debris however two of them were killed. The rescue effort to remove the other two workers from the debris has been continuing. 

Meanwhile, Bal?kesir Governor Mustafa Yaman and Bal?kesir University Rector Prof. Kerim Özdemir arrived at the scene to observe the rescue work.
